This is the small dedicated team who oversee the day to day running of the trust.
Richard is the son of Nat and Teresa Rosenbaum, who founded Rosetrees. He qualified as a chartered accountant having gained a degree in economics at LSE after which he joined Regentsmead, the family business and is now the chairman. Richard was awarded the Spear’s Philanthropist of the Year Award in November 2011.
Sam Howard-Chief Executive
Sam qualified as a solicitor and then completed an MBA from the Said Business School, University of Oxford. He took on the Rosetree’s Chief Executive role in 2011 and has helped Rosetrees grow and develop into a nationally recognised charity.
Ann Berger-Director of Development
Ann joined Rosetrees as Director of Development in 2017. Before joining Rosetrees, Ann spent many years in the finance sector and more recently led a joint initiative for Macmillan and Citizens Advice to provide financial advice for cancer patients. Ann also runs a family trust funding medical research.
John Samuels- Research Consultant
John won a scholarship to LSE followed by a successful business career. He has worked with Richard since the early days of Rosetrees and holds annual meetings with most of our researchers so we can maintain close personal contact and achieve the best outcomes, working together.
Dr. Vineeth Rajkumar-Research & Communications
Vineeth joined Rosetrees in 2017. Prior to that he worked at UCL specialising in cancer biology and imaging. He is responsible for grant triage and supports the review process and the impact evaluation of Rosetrees-funded research.
Ingrida Tverijoniene-Operations Assistant
Ingrida trained as a nurse and is an integral part of the operations team at Rosetrees. She is responsible for organising all the peer reviews for new applications which is the foundation of our selection process and she arranges our personal meetings with researchers.
Richard Miller-Operations Manager
Richard has a background in computing and information management, designing data systems and reporting. As the Operations Manager at Rosetrees he oversees grant and budget management at Rosetrees and provides analysis of all Rosetrees activities.
Sheree Oxenham-Senior Research and Development Officer
Sheree started her career as a research scientist before moving into teaching including several years as a head teacher. She undertakes assessment of the impact of our completed projects and is responsible for the management of our annual interdisciplinary award.
Berwyn Rutherford – Research Consultant
After an early career in education, Berwyn retrained and has been a practising osteopath for 30 years. She works closely with John Samuels to regularly meet our researchers for progress updates.
Clive Winkler – Trustee
Clive qualified as an engineer in 1967. He was appointed as a trustee due to his longstanding connection to the family business that provides Rosetrees ongoing financial support. He brings us an external perspective from his working experience.
Robert joined Regentsmead, the family business in 1987 and is now the chief financial officer. Robert was appointed a trustee of Rosetrees in 2010 and leads the investment committee.
