Richard Ross – Chairman

Richard Ross is the son of Nat and Teresa Rosenbaum, who founded Rosetrees on the occasion of their Golden Wedding. Richard qualified as a chartered accountant after gaining a degree in economics at LSE.

He has worked for Regentsmead the family company, which funds Rosetrees, since 1967 and is currently Chairman. Richard was awarded the Spear’s Philanthropist of the Year Award in November 2011.





Sam Howard – Chief Executive 

Sam Howard is a solicitor with an MBA from the Said Business School, University of Oxford who joined Rosetrees in 2011 as CEO.

This appointment reflects the expanding work being undertaken to find and support leading researchers over a wide variety of medical conditions.

It is a challenge which requires the skill and ability that Sam brings to this leading role.

Richard has a background in management information and is highly proficient in data systems and reporting.

He is the Operations Manager at Rosetrees with responsibility for the running of Rosetrees’ increasing live medical research portfolio and for ensuring the high quality of monitoring and tracking of each project.






Ingrida Tverijoniene  - Operations Assistant

Ingrida was born in Lithuania and spent 3 years training as a nurse. Much of her time was spent in the operating theatre where she experienced the skill and dedication of surgeons carrying out complex operations.

Ingrida is delighted to be working with Rosetrees, supporting cutting edge medical research which is developing major improvements for patients.





john-samuelsJohn Samuels – Research Consultant

John Samuels is an LSE scholarship graduate who has encyclopaedic knowledge of every project Rosetrees Trust supports.

He meets annually with every researcher, based in and around London in their environment, and ensures that all co-donors are kept fully informed throughout each year of the projects the Trust is supporting.






sheree Sheree Oxenham – Senior Research and Development Officer

Sheree studied Immunology and Physiology at London University and worked as a research assistant at the School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Later Sheree did a post graduate degree in Education spending almost 20 years in education including 10 years in Educational leadership. Sheree has always been passionate about science and encouraging young people to develop thinking outside the box, ask higher order questions and problem solve.

She is therefore passionate about the Rosetrees vision which facilitates and inspires scientific thinking in the search for cutting edge medical advances. Sheree’s interests are eclectic ranging from science in Society to music.




Ann-BergerAnn Berger – Director of Development

Ann Berger has joined Rosetrees as Director of Development.

Ann has moved from a role at Citizen’s Advice/Macmillan advising cancer patients and their families how to deal with their resulting financial problems, using her extensive experience gained in actuarial consultancy, working with public companies and pension funds.

Ann runs a family trust funding medical research and is very excited and ambitious about the new opportunities her energy and new ideas can add to Rosetrees 30 years’ cutting edge expertise.

The Team at Rosetrees welcome Ann and look forward to new initiatives that will greatly benefit medical progress.
